‘Integrated border management between Kosovo and Serbia takes time and extra negotiations, if an eventual agreement is aimed’ the EU officials said. The Kosovo Assembly Speaker Jakup Krasniqi said that the border issue has not been completed.
“I consider that our generation has achieved a lot, but we cannot finalise things. After all, each generation has its own demands and aspirations, and we can speak only about our own demands and aspirations,” Krasniqi said in an interview for national radio.
The French Ambassador to Kosovo Jean-Francois Fitou stated that the only solution for the crisis in north Kosovo is a dialogue of all political parties in the north, Kosovo and Serbian governments, and the international community.
On the other hand, representatives of the Assembly of Serb Municipalities called on Serbian leaders to, as they put it, stop reaching agreements with the Albanian party that are harmful for national Serb interests. The Assembly’s representatives agreed that all the agreements signed by Borislav Stefanovic will not be implemented in the Kosovo territory, wherever it is possible.
Serb representatives have authorised a team of 30 lawyers to raise charges against Stefanovic of reaching agreements with Albanians, which, according to them, undermines Serbia’s Constitution.
