The protest was held on the verge of the ceremony that commemorates the Greek-Italian war. The Albanian protestors hold national symbols and signs. The Dragoti Bridge is covered with national flags, while the entire area is secured with police forces.
Incidents are reported in Kelcyre where Greeks hold tributes to fallen soldiers in World War II, which they claim are buried in the cemetery of Kosina.
According to preliminary reports, we learn that Greek Ambassador car is stoned, but the latter has not suffered any injury. Many police forces have banned the Red and Black Alliance activists from approaching the cemetery where the Greek develops tributes.

“These fascists come each year in Albanian territory, doing an anti-Albanian pilgrimage. The RBA asks that the reciprocity limit should be respected. The same thing that happens to the Chams should happen to these Greek citizens. The RBA members in Kelcyra order that these Greeks fascists will face the fury of the Kelcyra Red and Blacks”, declared Augen Xhaferraj, RBA representative in Kelcyra.

The martyrs of the Greek-Italian war who were buried in Albanian territory are commemorated through official ceremonies.

According to the official agenda, the ceremonies will have members of the martyr’s families, high rank Greek government officials, the Greek Ambassador to Tirana, but it’s not officially confirmed if there will be MPs from the extreme left parties.
